Kodak Advertisement

I hope you are having a good weekend.  It is absolutely GORGEOUS here.  The colors of fall have arrived and it is warm.  My camera is getting a workout this weekend.

My friend Ester shared this with us at Designer Digitals and I just had to share it with you.  It is an ad for Kodak but I absolutely love the message.  It brings so much value as to what we do as memory keepers.

Here is the link.  Enjoy!

Template Challenge

I have been a bad blogger lately.  Let's just say that life is crazy right now and I'm struggling to keep up with everything.  I feel like I am going in a million different directions.  Everybody is doing well.  The kids are loving school.  We had a scare last week with Wiley, our English Bulldog and I was a nervous wreck.  He turns ten next month and that is old for a bulldog.  We absolutely adore him.  Thankfully he is doing a lot  better and back to being himself.  Thank God!

I completed a page this week for the template challenge.  This is a wonderful template created by Pattie Knox.  I thought it would be perfect for some back to school pages.

Here is the page that I created for Ellie using this template.  It came together in no time.  I love that about templates.

Once I create a page for one of my kids, there is usually another page to follow.  One of the reasons that I came to the digital world was because I was tired of creating the same page multiple times for each of my kids albums.  Digital scrapbooking makes that a snap.  I tweaked the colors a bit for Mia's album, changed the photo, added her journaling and called it done.

As I am scrambling to keep up with life, I feel good that both of their first day of school pages are complete. Little shortcuts make a big difference and I'm always trying to maximize my time.  You might want to check out this great template by Pattie Knox.

Senior Photos

I had the best weekend.   Fall has certainly arrived here and I just love everything about this season (with the exception that winter follows).  First I have to share with you a photo from my wedding day 10 years ago.  This is my darling niece, Kennedy.  She was my flower girl and it feels like this was yesterday.  I remember when we went shopping for her dress, she came out of the dressing room and she was beaming.  She was beautiful and said "I've waited my whole life for this".  I said "you aren't the only one".  At any rate, it has been an absolute joy to watch her grow over the years.  I am so proud of her.  She is bright, beautiful, kind, thoughtful, hard working and funny.  I know this girl is going to go far in life.

I was lucky enough to get to take her senior pictures this weekend.  It was so much fun.  She was absolutely gorgeous and just a natural in front of the camera.    I took a million shots and it still didn't seem to be enough.  I kept looking through the lens thinking "oh my goodness, look at her".  It was such a delight.  I was thrilled with the pictures and can't wait to start creating with them.  I thought I would share some photos with you.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Mid September Summary

Happy Friday everybody!  I hope you have had a great week.  Life is in full swing around here.  The kids and I have been battling colds all week so haven't been feeling all that great but we've had a good week despite that.  The girls are loving school and it is fun to hear their excitement when they come home each day.  I pray that never changes.  Quinn started school on Monday and is off to a great start.  Generations has been going really well and I just love the people that I get to work with and the gallery is starting to fill up which is so exciting.  I still can't believe that this is what I do....share my passion for memory keeping with others.  I was asked to guest teach at Masterful Scrapbook Designs for November which is always a treat.  The topic is "Old Photos" so I have been busy getting ready for that and it certainly is a wonderful tie in with my generations album that I just put together.   I'm also doing two senior photo shoots this month and a garage sale.  Let's just say there isn't a dull moment.  I haven't posted any pages for awhile so I thought I should share a few.

Back to School

The girls started school on Tuesday.  They were so excited and they were equally excited when they came home that first night.  They love their teachers and we have been so thankful for the great school that is a couple of blocks from our home.  They have had such a great week!

While the girls have been at school, Q and I have been working on our golf games.  It has been so much fun to have this one on one time with him.

Fall is just around the corner and the colors are beginning to change here.  My camera always gets a workout in the fall.  It has been so dry and the leaves are unfortunately starting to fall before they even change colors.  We certainly need some rain but the weather has been absolutely GORGEOUS!

Just a little reminder that Digital U is coming up on Sunday.  Amy, Pattie and I will be talking about our favorite digital products.  If you are new to Digital U it is a free webinar that is offered once a month at Creative Passion.  Head on over to register.  I hope to see you there!
